Not So Frequently Asked Questions

What is the "on the go" playlist? Why do I have it? Where did it come from? Do I need it for anything? Can I drag it to the trash?

It is created within the iPod, the only PlayList you can make from within the iPod. While you are playing a song in the iPod you do a certain command (I believe it is holding the select button for a while) and your current song will then be added to that iPod-created list.

Even neater is listening to podcasts on the iPod. You can select an individual podcast from the Playlist or a whole sequence of podcasts in a "folder" of podcasts to build a list of programs you want to hear. Especially useful if you listen while driving so you dont have to take your eyes off the road to select the next podcast. Smart Playlists make this really smooth, but that's another discussion....
